Happy Birthday Degan

We have had a BUSY few months. We threw a shower for our friend Brooke, who had a baby girl 2 weeks ago. She named her Bentley. She is the sweetest thing!
We pierced Sully's ears the day before Thanksgiving and she was an angel! She cried for about 30 seconds and then she went to bed. We made sure to do it at like 8 o clock at night so she could go right to bed.
We also had a great Thanksgiving. We went to Idaho to my family's party and had so much fun seeing everyone.
Then DEGAN'S BIRTHDAY!! I cannot believe he is already 4! Time flies...kind of makes me sad. He is so sweet and has such a kind heart. He always tells be I'm the bestest mom and princess he could ever know and that I belong to his heart....melts my heart. I love this boy so much and could not have asked for a sweeter cuter little boy.
Here are some of Degans fave things right now...
anything Transformers.......anything
Phineas & Ferb
Cowboy boots & Cowboy hat
Movie night on Saturday night with popcorn

So sweet.....Love him! Pictures are kinda small, but click on them to see our cute family ;-)

Halloween, Elder Capener, Shawn

Halloween was so fun this year. Degan is at the age where he can go to the door and say Trick-or-Treat and be on his way. He got a TON of candy. The people in our little town are very generous, and some even make homemade stuff. I didn't torture Sully with a big fluffy costume, just a onsie with a skeleton outline and a tutu. She looked so cute. Degan was Bumblebee from Transformers, not the stinger type (and that's what he told people). Jeff even took him to Murdock to see the real bumblebee and he even got to sit in it. I asked him if it transformed and he said "no mom, only when Optimus need him too'
We went to see Shawn and Kelsey before we started the trick or treating. Shawn was in a car accident a couple of weeks ago and it's a total miracle he is alive-We just love Shawn and Kels and are so grateful he is still here to be our friend ;-)
And last but no least...Bradon left for his mission :-( He will do great things and touch a lot of people I'm sure. I might have cried a little when we went to tell him bye. Degan loves Bradon and wants to do everything he does. He is such a good kid who is the life of the party and is always positive and VERY funny. He's such a good example. We love you Brado and will miss you!! Degan is already talking about how he will go on a mission and help Heavenly Father. I hope I'm brave enough to let him!

a random post

This year has gone by so fast...Sully's here and doing so good. She's such a good baby. She has Left torticollis, but we are doing stretches with her and she is improving! Degan has grown up so much in the last year! He learned to ride his bike without training wheels...even down a dirt rock pile :-)and can pretty much drive a tractor by himself. A few pictures...and a poem

Before I was a Mom - I never tripped over toys or knew the words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom - I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom - I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put them down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom - I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom - I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

I know this is random...I don't know who the author is for this, but I got it as a text and loved it. I have it in a frame with a picture of Degan and Sully. Working at a job where I see so much joy and so much sorrow in the same day makes me SO grateful for what I have. Where has the year gone? October (my favorite month) is almost over! I am having emotions today! I'm so excited for Halloween and can't wait to put pictures on here of our little trick or treaters. Hopefully it dosen't snow! Be safe!

We blessed Sully on September 6, our anniversary! It was really special to bless her on the day we got married. Jeff did an awesome job with the blessing. It's so sacred and special when daddy's bless their little girls. Melts my heart. Here's a few pictures of her special day.

Sully is such a sweet baby with a sweet spirit. When she smiles it totally lights up a room. And when she looks at me, Jeff or Degan she just smiles so big and her eyes light up....I just love her.

We are so lucky to be trusted with such a beautiful spirit.
She's already got the men of the house wrapped around her cute little finger. Degan is so protective of her. We've limited kisses to 5 a day or else he would be in her face all day ;-)

Tanis Marble did her announcements. They turned out perfect and just like I had pictured. Thanks Tanis!

7 years and counting

I cannot believe it's already been 7 years! It's flown by. I don't want to get all mushy and type out all my feelings, but I do want to tell Jeff I love him infinity and I couldn't ask for a better husband and father to my kids. We have been through so much together and being with him makes all the hard things that come our way, easy. Our life is my kind of perfect and I wouldn't want it any other way. I'm grateful for all he does for our family and the example he is to me and Degan and Sully. I'm so excited I get to spend eternity with this man! I love you Jeffrey Rigby and I am the happiest girl in the world!!

Good Photographer + SUPER cute baby= 1st Place
Sleeping on the tramp with daddy.

A few things I have learned this summer...*A simple Yes or No answer is NOT good enough for a 3 1/2 year old. It is followed by a series of explanations as to why I answered Yes or No. It's very exhausting. *Christmas is when the snow comes, which is in 4 days and 5 fingers. *Everyone with grey curly hair is a grandma. *Every helicopter or plane we see is Dennis(and we have to wave and yell 'hi Dennis' at it) *How to operate a industrial lawn mower is really hard and requires alot of concentration. *Dad's really don't know how to match clothes and do little girls hair(but it melts my heart that he trys and is willing to learn) *Waking up at 5:30 am is considered 'sleeping in' *Going to work is refered to as 'me time' *Degan isn't allergic to bee stings, wasp bites, mosquito bites, and ant bites. *It's OK to let my child play in the toys at McDonald's, that is what hot showers and hand sanitizer is for, plus it builds antibodies. Soooo pretty much, never a dull moment in the Rigby house. Wonder what Fall will bring...
